New Album by CYB 'Today We Ready'
Gospel Rapper CYB, founder of GospelBeats has teamed up with Devine Jamz to spread word about his new album “Today We Ready,” coming in September 2020. I can truly say this artist, producer, and engineer will be adding to his robust repertoire with this new set.
I am a Christian artist/music producer/audio engineer/IT web developer, wow, I know that is a lot. I go by the artist name of CYB (count your blessings), and I am the Founder of Gospel Beats, an online platform to empower gospel artists. My overall mission is to spread the gospel, whether through myself or by empowering someone else.
I decided to start Gospel Beats back in 2015 because technically we are all Christians connected to one body of Christ, with the same goal. Plus, I am a big fan of collaborations because we are better as a team than standing alone. I always been a huge fan of hip hop, so my primary genre of my music is Christian hip hop. I currently have four published albums on iTunes and other digital platforms starting back since 2013 up to my most recent in 2020; with another album currently in the making. Even though the main genre is hip hop, each album illustrates diversity being that each song is different with a combination of rapping, singing, preaching, or simply praising and worshiping.
I basically grew up and was raised in the church. My mother was heavily in the church and made sure my brothers and I were at church every Sunday. Then, when my mom passed when I was 10 years old, I pretty much stopped going to church and grew up just like any other kid, getting into trouble, fights, etc. but nothing to drastic though. However, I did struggle with depression a lot, thinking that it may stem from my mother passing. However, I always had that church foundation to keep me from going to far off the deep end. After about 12 years when I became an adult out on my own, I decided to go back to my roots and get back into the church. I found a church home and have been growing spiritually ever since. I always had a passion for rap music growing up, so in 2010, I decided to use my passion for rap music to glorify God. I never was strictly an artist alone, rather I enjoyed the entire process from writing the lyrics, to making the beat, to recording the song, to mixing and mastering the song. The crazy thing though is that I don’t perform because I have stage fright, so I always lean more towards the production side of the song. However, because I am delivering a meaningful message, I want these songs to be heard by the masses!
Tyrek TYG Gaskin of Tree Of Life Music Ministry Gospel Rapper Tyrek Gaskin was born November 15 1983 in the State of Long Island NY. The inspiring rapper was use to the street life and hip hop music.
Although he was raised with his mother and father under one roof with both parents that worked very hard to provide the best education and living conditions for TYG along with brothers and sisters; the young man still decided to make the streets his home. Doing everything from selling drugs, guns, and counterfeit money. After escaping the gritty streets of New York, with a high school diploma TYG and four of his best friends headed south.TYG would now make North Carolina his home, but only for a place to make money, lots of money. From 2002-2004 TYG would encounter life-changing events in his life. Living a life absolutely not pleasing to God, TYG and his crew had their minds set on taking over a little town in High Point North Carolina. Tragedy would soon strike in 2004. TYG main man Anthony Briggman was gunned down inside a house where the young men were selling Drugs. We asked TYG to tell his part of his testimony. TYG: 'I came to Christ in 2005 after the death of my best friend. He was gunned down at the age of 22 and died in my arms, after I saw the paramedics bring him out of the house in a black body bag; I completely lost it! I was like shattered glass, I didn't want to be that gangster pretty boy thug I thought I was. I didn't want anything to do with the street life I was living! For days after I tried to get high and drunk just to numb the feeling, I needed something to fill the void and emptiness that I felt inside! But nothing would do it until I found Jesus. Now here I stand as a soldier for Christ on the frontline!'
